Dr. Hudson Selected to AASA Governing Board
(CEDAR HILL, TEXAS) Cedar Hill Independent School District Superintendent Dr. Gerald Hudson is honored to have been appointed to the AASA, The School Superintendents Association, Governing Board through June 2024. Hudson, who enters his fourth school year as the Superintendent of Cedar Hill ISD, will represent Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) on the AASA Governing Board, which meets twice per year. He was selected by the TASA Executive Committee to serve on the national level. “Anytime you’re recognized and asked to serve at the State or National level, it’s special,” Hudson said. “We’ll have the opportunity to meet with Superintendents from around the United States and the chance to report back to our respective executive teams.” Hudson also serves on the TASA Advocacy Committee. A Dallas native, Hudson earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Texas Tech University, along with a Master’s Degree and Doctorate from Texas A&M University-Commerce. He guided CHISD through the COVID-19 Pandemic, oversaw the district’s STEMSpired Initiative, including a nearly $2 Million Grant and led CHISD into a leadership program with the Austin-based Holdsworth Center.
