He was arrested and accused on charges of Online Solicitation of a Minor, Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student, and Sexual Performance of a Child – Employ, Induce, or Authorize. Online Solicitation of a Minor is a third-degree felony punishable by 2 to 10 years in prison. On Monday, Nov. 18, Aldine ISD’s Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Department held a meeting for its Parent and Family Engagement (PFE) Clerks. PFE Clerks are new to FACE. They are in place at all Title I campuses to foster more communication between the campus and families. The role of the PFE Clerk is to ensure that Aldine’s families are informed, supported, and empowered. They are instrumental in assisting families with Annual Enrollment in the Home Access Center (HAC). This process is critical as it ensures that all student information is accurate, up-to-date, and ready for the new school year. Wall ISD assistant band director sentenced to 30 years for producing child pornography
An assistant band director of Wall Independent School District has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for Production of Child Pornography. According to the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office, underage girls at Wall ISD received sexually explicit messages and pornographic images from 33-year-old Joshua Alexander Carroll. He also attempted to solicit sexually explicit photos from those minors. view article

Willis ISD increased its pay for all bus drivers, which will go into effect Jan. 6, district officials announced at the board of trustees’ Dec. 11 meeting. Arrest records indicate an agriculture teacher at Henderson ISD is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student. Kathryn Laraine Prior, 35, of Henderson, is charged with possession of child pornography, indecency with a child and improper relationship between an educator and student. According to an arrest affidavit obtained by KLTV through an open records request, Henderson police were informed of the crime on Tuesday. The affidavit states police received information that Prior exchanged inappropriate photos with the victim, exchanged inappropriate text messages with the victim and had inappropriate contact with the victim. view article

A former Southlake Carroll ISD superintendent is suing the district, alleging the district breached their voluntary retirement agreement with him, leading him to receive a lower payout in retirement benefits from the Teacher Retirement System. David Faltys served as Carroll ISD’s superintendent from 2006 until 2021. Faltys filed the lawsuit Monday in Tarrant County District Court. view article

This week, Sherman ISD announced to families and staff that high school principal, Scott Johnston, will no longer fill the position.
