Sabinal High School coach arrested, accused of attempting to entice 14-year-old boy
A Sabinal Independent School District employee has been arrested after attempting to entice what he believed to be a teenage boy online, according to a news release from the Department of Justice. On Oct. 11, 2024, Kenneth Wayne Mulkey, a high school coach and teacher for Sabinal High School, allegedly asked an undercover special agent for their age, sex and location over Snapchat, the release says.

Federal judge allows lawsuit against Arlington ISD to move forward, dismisses parts
A lawsuit filed against Arlington ISD over a resident’s complaints about the district’s grievance process and transparency is moving forward after a federal judge dismissed several claims of the case. U.S. Judge Reed O’Connor of the Northern District of Texas dismissed five claims brought by retired attorney David Jarvis and Citizens Defending Freedom, a conservative-aligned organization that fights for transparent local government. The City of Lewisville is telling residents to boil their water before consuming it because of a water main break. Lewisville ISD will close 21 campuses and facilities on Monday, according to the city. Parents at impacted campuses should have received an email notification from the district.
